Icelandic fresly grown and harvested ingredients

Smurstöðin is an exciting, restaurant at the ground floor of Harpa. Smurstöðin only uses Icelandic grown and harvested ingredients which are the cream of crop at any given time.

Open faced sandwiches in the style of the New Nordic Cuisine Movement, are the main fare at Smurstöðin.
The foundation of the menu was developed in close collaboration with Almanak restaurant in Copenhagen and the Danish chef, Claus Meyer, who co-founded the gourmet restaurant Noma, which holds two Michelin stars.

You can order a sandwich before a show that will be waiting for you in the interval or after the show. Approach our waiters at Harpa and they will happily take your order.

It is not possible to order a sandwich from the kitchen after the show.
